SmartBackup is a fast and lightweight backup application for OS X. It gives you more control than Time Machine and is faster and easier to set up than most of its competitors. Using SmartBackup you can backup multiple source items to a destination folder on an external harddrive, flashdrive or network share, or create a bootable clone of your system. SmartBackup features a modern 64-bit sync engine that only copies what has changed after the first backup. It is very fast in updating an existing backup or system clone.
SmartBackup archives deleted or changed files in an archive folder during the backup which you can browse easily for available versions of a file and to restore them with one click.
You can use Spotlight Saved Searches to define what you want to backup or what you want to exclude, a powerful way to simplify your backup configuration.
